Ex-Siffert Gulf 917K From "Le Mans" Pulled From Gooding's Pebble Beach
Auction
|
With little notice and even less fanfare, Gooding quietly pulled the 917K billed as the "Ex-Siffert Gulf 917K From Le Mans" from their Pebble Beach Auction
line-up. What many thought might have been the highest selling Porsche 917 to ever cross the auction block is apparently no longer for sale. Here's what we know.

Meet Porsche Cars Canada's Newest Marketing Director
|
Earlier this summer our friend, Laurance Yap, resigned his position as Marketing Director of Porsche Cars Canada (PCC) to pursue other opportunities. Since then, we've been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the person who would take on the roll. We assumed it would
be someone from within (Porsche likes to promote from within when they can) we just didn't know who. Now we do.

Porsche's Secret Warehouse Not So Secret Anymore
|
Porsche has more than 500 cars in their
collection of which about 80 are present in the museum at any given time. The rest remain stored in a hidden, "secret" warehouse a few blocks away. The problem is it doesn't seem to be much of a "secret" anymore. Here's why. Related Porsche Blog Posts You'll Enjoy!

Installment 2 Of Our Favorite Porsches On eBay This Week
|
For all of the eccentric and eclectic Porsche collectors and enthusiasts out
there, we've decided that it is about time someone aggregated the best of the best that eBay has to offer in the Porsches-for-sale department. We've tracked down six excellent options for Porsche folks to purchase today, including a pair of rare 964s, a mid-engine track day special, an engine swap donor candidate, a home-built special, and a perfectly restored former Sebring 12 hour competitor. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do
more financial harm than good. Read on and you decide which is which.
Porsche 964 Consumed By Fire In Tampa Parking Lot 1 |
This past week has seen a rash of classic and tuned
Porsches destroyed by fire or accident. Earlier we received word of yet another air-cooled Porsche lost to a fire. The 1991 Porsche 964 in this video appears to have suffered an engine fire. With no extinguisher handy, the fire can be seen spreading to the point where it engulfs the entire rear-end of the 911. Fortunately, it appears that no one was hurt,
but the Porsche is probably on a salvage title at best.

Porsche Buyers Guide. 5 Reasons To Walk Away 1 |
While none of the following line items should cause you to walk away from a prospective purchase all on their own, they are things to keep in mind when looking to purchase a "new to you" Porsche. Every car and seller has their own story and most of them are legitimate. These are just things to be aware of when considering the
purchase of a used Porsche (or any car for that matter).

A Last Look Back On Our Trip To The 24 Hours Of Le Mans
|
Were we
really there? Did all of that happen? We have to keep asking ourselves if we actually went to France on a whirlwind 24 Hours of Le Mans weekend, because it all just feels so surreal. It feels like it could have been one really long summer dream, it was all a blur. It was a lovely blur, and certainly ticked the box from our bucket list, but it was a blur nonetheless. The non-stop action of a four day visit to France is usually indescribable in itself, but add in the madness that is the Le Mans
24, and you'll practically be in a coma by the time you get back home. Fortunately, we took notes as we went and compiled them into one last story filled with pictures from a once in a lifetime trip. Thanks again to Michelin Tires for making it all possible. Other Porsche Blog Posts You Should Read
