Take A Tour Of BBI Autosport's Garage |
If you're not familiar with BBI Autosport, do yourself a favor and check out their site and some of their projects. If the name is familiar to you, you probably
saw them during Jeff Zwart's latest Pikes Peak attempt as well as the Porsches they run on the Texas Mile (just to name a couple). The video in this post features Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg's visit to the BBI shop in Huntington Beach where we
see some of the very impressive projects currently in progress. Here's but one of the fun facts we learned in this video, Jeff Zwart's Pikes Peak 911 consumes about 1 gallon of fuel per mile. Watch the video!

Porsche's Making Changes In Their Motorsport Division
|
When we first learned that Frank-Steffen Walliser (overall project manager for the 918) would be taking over for Hartmut Kristen as Vice
President of Motorsport at Porsche AG we thought that maybe they were shaking things up and bringing in new blood. However, after a few calls, we were assured that is not the case. In fact, while it may seem like ages ago, both Daytona and Sebring were won this season under the watch of Kristen. Even still, maybe new blood will be a good thing for Porsche's motorsport endeavors.

Even if you think you know Magnus' story well, you'll learn something new in his TEDx talk.

Are You The Future Owner Of This Porsche 993 RSR?
|
Maybe 'owner' is too strong a word. Perhaps 'custodian' is more appropriate for a car like
this. This car is eternal, and won't ever truly be owned, rather were you to take delivery of this rare and beautiful Porsche 993 RSR, you would be preserving it for a future generation. This sentiment is kind of like those Patek Phillipe watch advertisements "You never actually own a Patek Phillipe. You merely look after it for the next generation." This 993
needs preservation for the next generation, for the right price, that job could be yours.
