This Porsche Is For Sale. Too Bad You Can't Afford It!
Headed to the Gooding & Co. Pebble Beach aution is ith 1969 Ex-Siffert Gulf 917k featured in the movie Le Mans.  Many consider it to be the "most original 917" in existence.  Why the accolades?  How much will it sell for? What's its history?  All that and more in answered in this excellent write-up and history on the 917 that Joe Siffert once called "not only unstable, but it is frankly dangerous". Read the full story.
Did You Hear That 918 Drive By? Neither Did Anyone Else
Porsche recently took a 918 Spyder on a drive through London proper in the all electric mode.  It's kind of eerie not hearing that tell-tale Porsche exhaust note as people react to it on the streets.  For us, it's the first time we've heard/seen an extended clip of the 918 driving on electric only and we enjoyed listening to Gordon Robertson explain more about the 918 Hybrid tech that makes this silent driving mode possible.

Download This Porsche App Now
We stay on top of most of the Porsche apps that come out and review them if they seem worthy.  For the most part, everything we see, other than a few directly from Porsche, are just junk.  This latest FREE app from Autoweek is an exception.  Originally meant to be released in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the 911, technical problems delayed its release until just last week.  Fortunately, the app DIDN'T suffer as a result.  The title might be dated, but the content is "ever-green".  Check out our review and see why we think you should download it today!
Jeff Zwart, Romain Dumas and Vincent Beltois Explain What It Takes To Conquer Pikes Peak In A Porsche
Ray Shaffer of Brumos Porsche brought the video in this post to our attention.  For some reason it's not getting a lot of attention on YouTube, probably because the channel it's on has such a small subscription base. Regardless, it's worth a watch as it's MC'd by Jeff Zwart and includes insights from Romain Dumas (his 911 won the Time Attack class this year) and Vincent Beltoise (overall winner and the driver of Dumas' 911) and others on how to attack and win at Pikes Peak in a Porsche.  Be sure to share this video with others if you enjoy it.  Let's help spread the word!
You Asked. We Answered Your Porsche Macan Questions
We spent the better part of last week in California driving Porsche Macans on the track, road and off-road  Before we left, we asked those of you who interact with us on Facebook what you wanted to know about Porsche's newest SUV.  You responded with a number of fine questions and one completely ridiculous one.  We answered them all.  If you want to know if the Macan is worth the money? Or should you buy the S or The Turbo?  What's the Cargo space like?  How They Handle? If A Macan can beat a Cayman in a drag race.  We've got the answers to those questions and more.  Read our post and if you still have questions, be sure to leave them in the comments. We'll do our best to continue to answer you.

Porsche Driving Nun Warned To Adopt Frugal Lifestyle
If you're anything like me, when you imagine the lifestyle of Buddhist nuns in Thailand you probably wouldn't picture one to be driving a Porsche to do their errands.  However, that's exactly what one nun at Wat Tham Khwan Muagn in the Sawi district of Chmphon province has been doing. Even after being warned by the National Office of Buddhism, the nun explains that she wasn't doing anything wrong.  Here's why.

Listen To The Sound Of Porsche At The Goodwood Festival Of Spped
When I first got hooked on Porsches and motorsport, one of the biggest things that caught my attention was the sound. Then, the first time I went to the track you could hear the symphony of Porsches racing miles before you could even see them. I was hooked. The video in this post features a nice little "song" that Porsche put together below featuring the sounds of Goodwood 2014.
