No, It's Not A Spaceship. It's The Cockpit Of The Porsche 919 Hybrid At Night
Porsche just completed the first official test on the Circuit Paul Ricard at Le Castellet for the upcoming World Endurance Challenge season. Porsche's # 91 911 RSR set the fastest time of the weekend in the GTE-Pro class, while the 919 Hybrid completed more than 3,556 kilometers including a shared test with the entire WEC field. Besides practicing driver changes, Porsche factory drivers got some night practice in as well.  While this whole video is interesting to watch, we particularly liked the shots of the cockpit at night.  Just look at how much is going on.  It's amazing they can drive it as fast as they do!
Video: Introducing The New Cayman GTS
There are many who will argue that the Cayman is the future of Porsche and that eventually, even the 911 will be a mid-engined sports car. While we're not willing to speculate just yet, we do like the direction Porsche is moving the Cayman. The new GTS, at 340 hp, is just 10 hp shy of its big brother the base 911, top speed is only 4mph less and the zero to sixty times are pretty much identical. It's the price that sets them apart.

Porsche 911 RSR Posts Top Time At First Test For The 1st Round Of The World Endurance Challenge
We've read lots of stories and posts about all the various additives that should be in synthetic oil for air-cooled.  We've also read how certain brands have changed their formulas over the years possibly removing essential additives needed for classic Porsches.  We're by no means experts on oil, but this past week Porsche Classic announced two new oils made specifically for air-cooled Porsches that address many of these concerns.

Win A Pair Of Collectible Porsche Room Keys
These key cards have been a huge hit ever since we first introduced them last year.  Now,  20 of you can win a set of two as featured in the image above.  When we first gave away some keys after our trip to Amelia Island last year, we had no idea how much interested people would be in these as pieces of Porsche memorabilia.  Then, we realized that unless you were invited to one of these events there was no other way for you to get one other than through us.  That makes these keys some of the most collectible Porsche memorabilia there is.  If you want a chance to win a set of these keys, it's simple.  Just follow the rules in this post and answer one question.  That's it! We'll announce the 20 lucky winners here in the e-newsletter on the 15th of April.
Spring Has Sprung. Here's How To Safely Wake Your Porsche From Its Winter Hibernation

If you lived anywhere there was cold and snow this year it might have seemed as if spring would never arrive. 460HP At 165MPH Through The Most Difficult Turn In Racing
Many consider turn-17 at Sebring to be THE most difficult turn in North American racing. Why, it's the last turn, at the end of the back straight on a notoriously bumpy track. Drivers enter the turn at nearly 165 mph and there's no one perfect line. It's different for each car and each set-up. Sebring is known to be demanding on car and driver. Watch as Henrique Cisneros, driver of the #30 MOM NGT 991 Porsche GT3 Cup, explains what it takes to stay fast through this difficult turn.
This Ferrari Badged Cayenne Makes No Sense.  Or Does It?

Spend any time on eBay and it's pretty clear that people have way too much time on their hands when it comes to customizing their Porsches.  Take this most recent example.  It started life as a 2004 Porsche Cayenne.  However, the owner obvious had buyer's remorse and wished they had purchased a Ferrari as they quickly stripped all Porsche badging from the "pig" replacing it with the other prancing horse. To make matters worse, they painted it Ferrari red and added a body kit that could be called horrible at best.  Now they want to sell it.
