The first time we brought you the stop motion teardown video you watched as a Carrera 3.2 was disassembled, as if by magic, over the course of a three minute video. Chances are, you were as fascinated as we were. Now there's a sequel on the way, only this time we'll see a Porsche engine built from the ground up. Specifically, we'll watch as a 3.0 liter engine is built up into a 3.8; something the creators don't think has been done before. A few months ago Magnus drove out to El Mirage Lake (a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert) to meet up with his friend Tamir Moscovici and the team behind "Urban Outlaw
". Tamir and his crew were there shooting part of their newest film "KAZ" (a film about the creative drive of Kazunori Yamauchi, the man behind Gran Turismo). Anyway, Maguns arrived on the dry lake in #277 and as the conditions were just right, Tamir decided to have Magnus take a few passes along with the camera truck, ariel cam and the rest of the production team. This video is the result of that trip.

We first met Chris and the crew at USP Motorsports when we had our Cayenne serviced at his shop a few years ago during our annual winter pilgrimage to Florida. It was then that we first saw the shop's 996 GT2 up on the lift getting tuned. Since then, USP has continued to improve the build and output of their 996 GT2. Last month they put all their hard work to the test in Bradenton, Florida running against some of the fastest tuned Euro cars in the country. Their results were impressive to say the least.
