However, combining the two appears to produce neither of these and creates something rather exciting for Porsche enthusiasts in the United States. Porsche North America recently unveiled their remodeling of one massive fiberglass figure in Carson, California to welcome visitors to a  very special Porsche Experience Center. Patrick Dempsey Headshot
Patrick Dempsey and Porsche have been linked for years as pictures of the celebrity and his various Porsche made the rounds.  However, it wasn't until this past motorsport season that Porsche had any kind of "official" relationship with Dempsey.  It's obviously gone well because this week Porsche announced a new two-year deal that keeps Patrick in the family through 2015

Mark Porsche Pays Tribute To The 911
Mark Porsche tribute
Mark Porsche, son of 911 designer Ferdinand 'Butzi' Porsche is spending more time in the public eye this year. We've seen him appear at other Porsche events  recently and it seems the company may be positioning him as the next family spokesperson for the brand. Video: Porsche 2.7RS And The Pursuit Of Purity
Petrolicious Pursuit of Purity
Just a few weeks ago our friends at Petrolicious released an interview with acclaimed videographer and Porsche race car driver Jeff Zwart . Last week, they published the video featuring architect Jonathan Segal as he poetically describes what the 1973 Porsche 911 2.7L RS means both to Porsche and its drivers. I love what Petrolicious is doing with Porsche videos. They just keep getting better and better.
Should Porsche Make The Final Rounds Of The Supercup Season "Non-Points" Races In Honor Of Sean Edwards?
The world of Porsche motorsport suffered a huge loss last week with the tragic death of Supercup star Sean Edwards .  Now, his fellow racers and fans have come together in an effort to honor Sean.  John Miller, a driver in the Pirelli World Challenge, started a heart-felt petition on Change.org asking John Kraus (head of Porsche Mobil1 Supercup) to honor Sean's memory and award him the championship he was sure to win.  This emotional tribute started as a "centralized spot" to vocalize the feelings of a lot of supporters. It's picking up momentum and you have a chance to participate.  Read the full story and petition, sign it if you agree, and let us know your thoughts either way.

What Do You Think These Leaked Patent Images From Porsche Show?
Porsche wind deflector patent sketches
Earlier today another web-site release sketches purported to be patent images of a "new removable wind deflector" from Porsche.  We've read through the post, looked at the images and we're stumped.  Are these really wind deflectors? Or, are they some other type of device to be used in racing or something else entirely.
