In 2010, the storied Porsche racing squad Brumos Racing of Jacksonville, Florida announced that they were returning to their GT racing roots by "racing what they sell" -- a Porsche 911 GT3. One year later the team, led by Skip Schinsing with coaching by legendary Porsche racer Hurley Haywood, had clinched the 2011 Rolex Sportscar GT Championship with drivers Andrew Davis and Leh Keen. In the documentary How Brumos Endures , you will go behind the scenes to see how the "Made in JACKSONVILLE" team tackles the most important event on their annual calendar, The Rolex 24 at Daytona. Porsche 918 Spyder Sets New Nürburgring Record

When words can't describe a feeling, sometimes a figure can: 6:57 minutes.  That's how long it took the Porsche 918 to lap the Nürburgring and shatter the existing lap record.

Onboard with Marc Lieb During the Porsche 918 Spyder's Record Lap of the Nürburgring

On the same day that Porsche officially unveiled the production version of the 918 Spyder in Frankfurt at the International Auto Show, they also let it be known that the 918 Spyder (in its Weissach form) ran the fastest Nürburgring lap, ever . Not only did it beat its own previous record by more than 17 seconds. It beat ALL previous records for any other manufacturer.

They say all publicity is good publicity, but is it? Arctic Cat recently uploaded a video titled, "Wildcat Porsche Crusher" to their YouTube channel . The video features their sport side-by-side 4x4 the "Wildcat" driving (they call it crushing) up and over a Porsche 911. As the Wildcat comes over the top of the Porsche the announcer says, "The Wildcat, more fun than the usual midlife crisis."  So far, the feedback on the video and the comments are less than spectacular (almost all are extremely negative). We thought they should have used a Corvette given their word choice for the voice-over.  Click the image above, or here, to watch for yourself.
