On second thought, perhaps it is.  In this episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Jerry picks up Seth Meyers in a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS and explains how he acquired the Porsche and when he might part with it.  The episode is quite funny in its own right  but the good Porsche stuff takes place at the beginning and the end.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is over and all that's left are the memories.  Here's one such memory that most spectators will keep with them for quite some time. Fortunately, the Porsche wasn't going fast and damage to the race car was minimal (the driver's ego is something else entirely).

Porsche Sculpture at Goodwood Festival of Speed Defies Gravity

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world. Having just taken place over four days (July 11-14) the weekend brought together cars and stars of motorsport and pop-culture. This year marked  the 20th anniversary of the festival and like the 19 previous events, one marque was chosen to be featured and represented with the 'Central Feature' sculpture. This year, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the 911, Porsche got the honor.

Watch Jeff Zwart Climb Pikes Peak in a Turbo Charged Porsche GT3 Cup

In late June Jeff was at Pikes Peak testing what in a one-off Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car outfitted with a turbo motor from a 911 GT2 RS . Testing went well and on race day everything look good for Jeff until he hit weather (weather the eventual winner didn't have to drive through) at altitude. As a result Jeff had to settle for third in his class this year. The video below captures Jeff's journey up the mountain and is extremely well produced.

Do You Like the Design Chosen to be the Winner of the Falken Tire Livery Contest?

Earlier today Falken tire announced the winner of the Falken Tire Livery Contest in Forza's Motorsport 4.  Contestants were urged to submit their own designs utilizing the Team Falken Tire Porsche GT3 RSR as a canvas.  The winning design will replace the usual Teal and Blue livery during Petit Le Mans this October. Falken Tire says there were more than 200 entries.  Do you think this one was the best?
