Our trip to the Hershey Porsche Swap Meet started off with a bang. We spent Friday night at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum where Karl Ludvigsen was presenting a speech on his most recent book, "Porsche - Origin of the Species". Not only was the presentation enlightening and entertaining the rare Porsches in attendance were worth the visit all on their own.

Usually when we see Porsches like this the caption says something like "coming soon to craigslist".  This time however, it was just too easy to come up with the title of this post.  Fortunately, the driver of this Porsche was rescued before he came to any permanent harm.  I'm not so sure we can say the same about his car...

It was an action packed weekend for Porsche racing fans. Between the ALMS at Long Beach and GRAND-AM at Road Atlanta there was plenty to keep you busy. With two teams running first and second during the weekend's only practice session, the Team Falken Tire and the Paul Miller Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs, it looked to be a strong weekend for Porsche in Long Beach.

With one of Porsche's customer teams bowing out of the GRAND-AM season early and another making it to the podium for the first time, Road Atlanta turned out to be an interesting race for Porsche in the GT class.  In the GX class things were even more interesting.  See what happened to Jim Norman in his BGB Motorsports Cayman and if they continued his winning streak.
