Over the last week there's been significant speculation that Porsche will release a flat-four engine at the Frankfurt Motorshow in Germany this fall. We spoke with Porsche directly and they said they have no such plans, at least not yet. However, they don't deny that such a motor is a possibility in the next few years.

Do you remember our story from earlier this year where we explained how one of the first Porsche showrooms in the US was designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright? Last week one of our readers (thanks Sean Cornelis) sent the picture above and this note, " I'm standing outside of the old Hoffman Motors showroom as I type this and the last pieces of it are being shoved into a garbage truck. [It's] Completely gutted, not a trace remains... 'Coming Soon: TD Bank' horrible." It's frightening to think a landmark design, one that foreshadowed the masterful spiral ramp of the Guggenheim, can just disappear overnight.
