The Porsche 911 Seminar Was Worth Our Entire Trip to Amelia Island
Porsche Greats on the Panel at the 911 Seminar
You know those Visa commercials? The ones where they list off the cost of a few items that then combine to create a priceless memory.  That's what the 911 Seminar this past weekend at Amelia Island was like.  Plane tickets $750.  Hotel Room $1500. Ticket to 911 Seminar $25.  Listening to Hurley Haywood, Vic Elford, Jeff Zwart, Patrick Long, Peter Shutz and other Porsche greats tell stories heard no where else, PRICELESS!
Why Didn't This Porsche 908/3 Sell?

The Amelia Island Concours D'Elegance continues to grow each year.  The crowds were massive this year. While not quite as big as Pebble Beach, they seem to be closing in.  Along with the crowds comes money and this year there seemed to be quite a bit of it in attendance.  Lots of Porsches sold for big dollars and other marques broke multiple records.

Our Trip to the LA Lit Meet Turned Into 3 Days of Porsche Heaven
Porsche LA Lit Show
When FLATSIXES.com decided to attend the Los Angeles Porsche Literature, Toy, and Memorabilia Show little did we know we would end up on a whirlwind tour that took us from the airport Hilton through Long Beach, Costa Mesa and Anaheim.  Now back safe at home we've concluded this is a trip every Porsche fan needs to make.
Our First Batch of Pictures From Amelia Island
What a weekend.  We don't even know where to start. We met Magnus Walker (the Urban Outlaw himself) and spent a ton of time just chatting with him about our mutual love of Porsche. We attended what will go down in history as one of the best Porsche 911 Seminars ever .  We had dinner with Jeff Zwart and heard some incredible stories (a few of them might even be fit to print). We won a silent auction for 6 signed copies of Peter Shutz's "The Driving Force" (contest coming).  We bumped into über Porsche fan and Indy car legend,  Dario Franchitti and he knew who we were (turns out he follows us on Twitter). And that's before we even got to the cars.  We have 100's and 100's of pictures of our own and another batch from T.J. Kessler (budding Porsche photographer and grandson to one of our favorite Porsche photogs, Leonard Turner).  So, while we're going through everything, and getting ready to post them for you on the site, we published a small taste of what we saw on our Facebook page. These are unedited, untouched photos, but we think you'll like them.  Click the image above or jump over there from this link.  We'll post a link to the rest of our pictures, and T.J.'s, in our Thursday email.
Did You See This Video of the New Porsche GT3 on The Track?
Video of the Porsche 911 GT3
There was a ton of coverage earlier this week with the introduction of the new Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 Cup.  So much so that you might have felt overwhelmed.  We know we were.  However, if there's one thing you watch, it should be the video at the start of this post.  The new GT3 not only looks amazing it sounds incredible.
