THE KAEGE 911: BACKDATING THE 993 |

Why do so many backdating projects, like those built by Singer, rely upon the 964 as their donor? What about a 993? The 964 was the final 911 to use semi-trailing arm rear suspension, which Singer's cars retain. By basing a project on a 993 the builder would be able to use the 993's stiffer body
structure and multi-link rear suspension.

Ahead of Maria's return to the Stuttgart Porsche Tennis Grand Prix this weekend, she returned to the track with her Porsche Brand Ambassador counterpart, Mr. Mark 'FIA World Champion' Webber. This time, the goal was for Mark to teach Ms. Sharapova the ins and outs of racing around the on-site test track in a brand new GT2 RS, the fastest and most powerful 911 ever built.

The idea of a "Barn Find" is all the rage. Especially when it comes to Porsche 356s. How many can actually be left? As has been said before, " the barn find/yard find Porsche is more and more rare every year. The joy is the hunt and the hunt becomes more difficult with each unit unearthed". To add to the mystique of the barn/yard find, Porsches being sold with "original dirt" are inexplicably bringing top dollar these days at auction (remember this 912 that sold in February for huge money in Paris). If dust and dirt drive up the price of a barn find, then leaf litter and other detritus are sure to do the same for this Porsche "Yard
Find".
