IS SINGER RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STATE OF THE 964 MARKET?

IS THAT INCREASE AFFECTING THE OVERALL MARKET?
For years we've been hearing the cries from Porsche purists that various refitting firms, usually Singer Vehicle Design and Rauh-Welt, are going to dry up the world's supply of 964-generation 911s. Until recently, we never thought that either of them would reach more than 10 or 15 cars per year, but both Singer and RWB have dramatically increased production.

THE PORSCHES OF THE CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

PORSHCE CHICAGO AUTOSHOW
The Chicago Auto Show was open to the public through the 19th of February. Porsche brought ten cars and a gorgeous display to the show, so we spent a bit of time walking through it. Being that we were there during the show's media days last week, we were able to get a few photographs of the lineup without having to negotiate through a room full of looky-loos.

Porsche Top 5 Series
Porsche's TOP 5 series is back and this time it features a 918 Spyder and Ansel Elgort (Baby from the film Baby Driver). Admittedly, this TOP 5 is geared toward a younger crowd and one that doesn't know that much about Porsche or the 918.

DOGFIGHT BETWEEN 964 CUPS SHOWS SPLENDOR OF CARRERA CUP RACES

Vintage Racing 964s
In the days before big downforce in Porsche Supercup racing, these lightweight 964 Cups forced a driver to slide, dice, cut chunks off the circuit, and hop curbs to find whatever advantage they could. If ever you feel the urge to show your tech-addled friends why the racing of yesteryear was better,

WELL SORTED 914-6 PROVES AN EXCELLENT CANYON CARVER

914-6
This 1973 Porsche 914-6 was the owner's car when he was in high school, originally a four-cylinder. He sold it and bought it back later, in pieces, with no engine, but with the full 914-6 bodywork. It now features a 2.5L twin-plug engine, and though not original, it is a factory-built flat-six.

'73 911 CARRERA RS STOLEN FROM UNDERGROUND GARAGE IN LONDON

73 911 CARRERA RS STOLEN
In today's market, depending on condition and provenance, an original '73 911 Carrera RS is valued anywhere from $650,000 to well over $1,000,000. That's why it's so hard for me to believe that someone would park one in a public garage on a regular basis.  However, that's exactly what this owner did.

PORSCHE SPARK SRT05E
This sort of publicity stunt is a near guaranteed crowd pleaser. Since Audi sent a 100 up a ski jump in 1986, it's been repeated several times. This particular journey began at Holme in Lincolnshire, the lowest point in the UK, and ends at the Glenshee Ski Center, one of the highest points in the UK at 2,640 feet above sea level. Though somewhat smaller than Vermont's Sugarbush, where Porsche previously hosted FLATSIXES.com at their Winter Driving Experience,
