It's hard to fathom that what, for a long-time, was once considered the "redheaded stepchild" of the 911 family can, if driven well, casually dice with the latest and greatest thoroughbreds in the Porsche stable.

There is no Porsche more anachronistic than the slant-nose 911 Turbo. It could not have existed were it not for the flash, exuberance, and absolute wealth of the 1980s, and looks out of place in any other era (look to the 964 Flachbau and you'll know this to be true).

There are few sounds in automotivedom less pleasant than brake squeal. While increasing brake temperatures will typically alleviate squeal, keeping your Porsche's brakes at racetrack temperatures around town isn't practical. It's important to consider what is causing your Porsche's brakes to squeal, and determine whether the noise is caused by wear, or the high performance nature of your braking system. In most cases this squeal is not caused by a mechanical fault. The noise is caused instead by the construction and composition of the brakes themselves.

Patrick Long, the man Matt Farah dubbed "The World's Fastest Ginger," raced the 24 Hours of Daytona in Wright Motorsports' 911 GT3 R. In the real race, Long was joined by Christina Nielsen, Robert Jenauer and Porsche Junior driver Mathieu Jaminet. Here, he is alone in an advanced simulator fro CXC Simulations. We expected the Wright Motorsports car to give a strong performance at Daytona and these virtual laps of the track in CXC Simulations' simulator gave us some insight into how that should have happened. Long's deep understanding of the track helps to deconstruct just how to get the most out of a lap.
