Safari 911s are very much in vogue right now. Matt Farah is having one built by Leh Keen, who has built more than a few of them. This 964 Carrera 4-based Safari build is among the wildest we've seen so far. Now, Instagram user Trialpsycho_RC is bringing us the smallest Safari 911 we've seen to date. 

German racing driver Wolf Henzler is many things. He is a 42-year old father of two, a Daytona 24 winner, a Le Mans winner, a Spa 24 winner, two-time Petit Le Mans winner, and owner of multiple championship titles. And, until recently, Wolf was one of the longest-standing Porsche factory drivers.

Porsche recently orchestrated an elaborate road trip, "Le Mans Unravelled",  to show people just how much effort goes into driving the distance of the Le Mans 24 Hour race winners (5,233 kilometers). You kind of expect a Panamera, a Macan or Cayenne to make a trip like this. 

Remember the original LuftAuto, a 911 Safari build that was auctioned for charity during Luftgekühlt 3?  Well, the same team that created that machine came back together for another go.  

Before a trademark dispute with Peugeot created one of motoring's most iconic badges, Porsche produced 82 901s. These cars were primarily treated as pre-production cars, and were reportedly not officially sold. For the last five decades, the Porsche Museum has not had a 901 of their own. In 2014, a German television crew uncovered #057 while working on an antiques program. The Porsche museum purchased the car, which is now the oldest 911 in their collection. Porsche spent the last 3-years restoring it.

Dr. Jim Lowe can stake a pretty good claim to the title of the "most interesting man in the world". In addition to racing Porsches, Dr. Lowe is a golfer, competitive surfer, and 30-year veteran of the Marine Corps. As you can probably guess from the cover of his book, he's also a Neurosurgeon! How one man finds time for all these pursuits simply defies belief. 

Come for the gorgeous yellow widebody 911, and stick around for the interesting stories that its owner, Nick Cassidy, has to tell. We're particularly taken in by the story of his mother chasing a group of bank robbers around London in an old 911.

Just a few days ago, Porsche issued a report stating that as much as 60% of Panamera customers, in some markets, are purchasing hybrid models. In certain countries, demand for a hybrid Porsche is even higher than that average. For example, Belgium-bought Panameras are 90% skewed toward hybrid power.  

It's worth mentioning that I purchased this book over a year ago ahead of the 2016 holiday season, and it just arrived at my doorstep this past week. Even after all that time, it was well worth the wait.  

For a number of months the online shop at Porsche Driver's Selection was "on holiday" as it went through a complete revamp. No, this isn't some stunt where a fake lightweight trailer is hooked up to the back of a high-powered 911 variant in order to set a quick lap and garner a few extra lines of copy in buff books. Instead, it's a stunt where a Panamera Turbo, hauling a proper custom-German-built Moetefindt Fahrzeugbau trailer with another Porsche (a Junior tractor) inside it, manages to set a seriously fast 12-minute 6-second lap of the Nürburgring, in the wet.
