The Many Porsches of Radwood 2
RADWOOD PORSCHES
Radwood is a car show that celebrates the lifestyle and totally tubular-ness of the 1980s and 1990s. Started back in June, the inaugural event was held at the Brisbane Marina south of San Francisco. As it was such a wild success the creators (one of which is our own Bradley Brownell) decided to host a second show just 6-months later. More than 360 cars registered to show at "Radwood 2 [Electric Boogaloo]" and Porsche was the 2nd most represented marque.

1985 911 TURBO FOR SALE
The 911 Turbo left American shores in 1980. From 1981 through the end of 1985, all 911 Turbos that came to the US came via third party importers. These grey-market examples often combine some very desirable traits, such as European market lighting, simplified emissions systems, and greater power than earlier US market cars.

1000 HP 993 EVO
This monster, based off a 964 Turbo but turned into a wild 993 Evo replica, is tuned by Belgium's DUXE to produce obscene grunt and deploy it without a hiccup. Though they're a bit cagey about releasing the actual figures—this being a competitive racing car and all—it's reputed to make over 1,000 horsepower in race trim.

Porsche Engine Notes Event
Last Tuesday we were given the unique experience to attend an event co-hosted by Porsche and Rolling Stone magazine, an event they called "Engine Notes", consisting of a unique combination of performance hybrid Porsches and good, old-fashioned Rock & Roll. It was a whole lot of fun, and it happened really quickly.

GT2 RS DECIMATES THE LAMBORGHINI HURACÁN PERFORMANTE ON TRACK

GT2 VS. LAMBO
Porsche's been somewhat cagey about releasing any footage of its newest performance flagship since it set that incredible Nurburgring lap two months ago. We've learned about the 991 GT2 RS' comfort and sophistication compared to other generations of the GT2, and we've seen just how quickly it sprints to 200. We also know how it was able to outrun the second-fastest track instrument from the Volkswagen Group, the Lamborghini Huracán Performante, by some five seconds at the Nordschleife.

IS THE '84 TARGA THE BEST CLASSIC 911?

911 TARGA THE BEST
There's no easy answer to the titular question, but the 3.2-liter Porsches from the mid-eighties are worth giving some serious consideration. Perhaps it's their unmistakable rasp, or those pedals mounted from the floor, but there's something exciting about this generation of the 911.

MATT FARAH JUST BOUGHT A 3.2 CARRERA. HERE'S WHAT HE PLANS TO DO WITH IT.

Matt Farah 911
On The Smoking Tire podcast, Matt Farah has repeatedly referred to his new 911 as "Grape Soda Lip Gloss." That may be a little harsh, as we think his Cassis Red Carrera 3.2 looks pretty stellar, if not a bit purple. He's also said it's destined for something more than just use as a toy or daily driver.
