A lot of the enjoyment of a car comes from the things you touch. In a Porsche with a manual transmission, a whole lot of parts need to work harmoniously for the experience to be positive. Not only does the gearbox itself need to operate correctly, but the linkage, gear selector rod, and even the outer surface of
the lever all need to have a certain feel. While there are some great cars with absolutely terrible shifters, most great driver's cars are defined, at least partially, by that point of contact.

HOW TO FIX STONE CHIPS ON YOUR PORSCHE |
When it comes to detailing Porsches there's probably no one better known at this point than Larry Kosilla of AMMO NYC and it's for good reason. He the cosmetic steward to some of the most incredible Porsches in the world and freely shares his knowledge and tips on a regular basis. In this video Larry takes delivery of
a 1965 Porsche 911, shipped from Sweden, on its way to being donated to New York's Museum of Modern Art. As Larry explains, the 911's paint is original, but it's soft and there's not a huge amount of it remaining. More importantly, the front hood has a bad case of rock acne that comes with some 50 odd years of road driving.

THE EMORY PORSCHE CAMPOUT, AN INSIDE LOOK |
YouTube video descriptions seldom get it so right. Sometimes it is also about the destination. In a Porsche, every trip has something special, because the vehicle itself is a good traveling companion. When the journey ends in Oregon with a few hundred of your new best friends, however, the destination takes
precedence. For those of us who couldn't go to Rod Emory's Porsche Campout, this 13-minute video shows what the event was all about.
