PROJECT BOXSTER CLUBSPORT: FINAL DRIVING IMPRESSIONS |
Our project Boxster started with very modest intentions, a few minor cosmetic improvements and some weight loss were all we were after. Along the way a few things went wrong and we changed tack a bit. Now, we've racked up a massive 30,000 miles in just over two years. The project is coming to an end for now
and we wanted to impart our final driving impressions.

YOUR PORSCHE CAN MAKE YOU LOOK 20 YEARS YOUNGER |
Ok, I admit. The title looks like "click bait" especially when you contrast it with the image above. However, it's not meant that way. Instead, it's tongue-in-cheek, just like the video in the post.

Thinking about buying a used Boxster and wondering what year and model will give you the best deal? The crew over at JP & Co. have put together what they call a "Porsche Boxster | Buyer's Guide & Depreciation" video. It looks at the current market value and depreciation curve of most Boxster models from the 986
through to the 718 and provides insight on when the best time to buy each model might be.

THE LAST TURN - JO SIFFERT |
It's hard to believe, but it's been more than two years since we first started publishing shots from Leonard Turner's archive as " The Last
Turn" here on FLATSIXES.com. Leonard's taking a break and doing some much deserved travel for the next few months so we thought we would look back to how we got started with this beautiful shot of Jo Siffert.

There are only two ways I want to go. One of them has to do with my Porsche...

THERE ARE 7 GENERATIONS OF THE 911. HERE'S HOW MANY PORSCHE PRODUCED OF EACH! |
Last week Porsche announced that the 911 hit a significant milestone when the one-millionth example
rolled off the production line. That's a fairly significant number given how humble the beginnings were for Porsche. Today, the 911 has evolved through seven main generations.

PROJECT 917: THE SIMULATOR AND REPLICA |
Who doesn't want to be Michael Delaney? The crew at Project 917 has it right, we all want to be Michael Delaney. Heck, if your priority is actually racing at Le Mans, being Michael Delaney might actually be better than being McQueen. We've covered the team behind this project before, and since then their goals have expanded.

VIDEO: QUICK THINKING 911 DRIVER EVADES ARMED CARJACKER |
The South African Police Service recently released crime statistics for 2016. Overall, crime in South Africa decreased between 2015 and 2016. However, certain crimes, such as Carjacking (Hijacking in South Africa) saw a sharp increase, +14.3% in the number of crimes committed. This 911 owner almost added to the
statistics.

HOW TO DRIVE THE PERFECT LAP OF BARBER IN A GT3
RS |
Cass Whitehead, the head instructor at Porsche's Sport Driving School, estimates that he has done 50,000 laps of Barber Motorsports Park. Just for perspective, if we take the total number of laps Derek Bell has completed at 26 appearances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, you get a figure of 7,642 laps. To call Mr.
Whitehead experienced with Barber is an understatement. This makes him the perfect person to demonstrate a "perfect" lap of the track in a GT3 RS.

PORSCHE SPRING START UP STEPS |
While it wasn't a terrible winter here in the Northeast, it did seem to linger. In fact, it's only recently that we've started to have more reasonable temps. Don't get me started on the rain, though. Regardless, for a good number of you, this is the time of year when you're planning to put your Porsche back on the
road.

CHRIS HARRIS THINKS THE NEW BOXSTER HAD A "PERSONALITY TRANSPLANT" |
And he doesn't think it's a good thing. By now, we all know that the 718 Boxster switched from a normally aspirated flat-six to a turbo charged flat-four. On paper the new Boxster is better in almost every way than its predecessor. It's faster zero to 60, faster zero to 100 and faster overall with a top speed of 177
MPH. As Chris says, "that's seriously fast."
