As the Amelia Island Concours D'Elegance has grown over the years, so has the breadth and depth of cars on display. This year, amongst all the incredible groupings was a special class called the "Race Cars of Al Unser". Within this grouping were a number of Porsches including this open wheeled Indy CART entrant known
as Project 2708.

IF YOU PLAN ON WATCHING THE 12 HOURS OF SEBRING, THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO FOLLOW ALONG! |
For long endurance races like Sebring, Twitter can be an invaluable source of information. Not only can Twitter provide an up-to-the-minute view of what's happening in the race, it can connect you with intimate details and insight from the drivers and teams themselves. In fact, I know of no other way to stay
as closely and accurately informed about what's happening in the Porsche world before, during and after the race (even if you were at the event itself) than through the "Twittersphere". You just need to know who to follow.

OUR FAVORITE PORSCHES ON EBAY: VOLUME 81 |
We've been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we've seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. This week's mix should have a little something for everyone. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more
financial harm than good.

THE LAST TURN - REFLECTIONS ON STRANGE THINGS |
Leonard Turner tells us that a good reflection shot is not an everyday occurrence. The details behind this photo make it even more rare. Not only was the location an unlikely one, but it took today's technology to bring a shot taken 15-years ago back to life.

3 PORSCHE RECALLS ANNOUNCED |
DRIVING THE 911 LUFTAUTO OFF-ROAD WITH JAY LENO |
Remember last year's Luftgekühlt? Not only was it a fantastic show, but to make it a bit more "interactive" Patrick Long and team introduced us to "#luftauto", a mid-80's 911 SC converted into a 911 Safari or East African Rally tribute. Patrick recently stopped by Jay Leno's Garage along with #luftauto and
it's new owner, Eli Kogan. Not only did he go through details of the build, perhaps more so than we've heard in the past, he also put the 911 up on the lift and then Jay took the car off-roading with Eli.

THE NEW RUF CTR: THEY SAY IT'S NOT A PORSCHE! |
In 1987 the fastest car in the world didn't come from Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche. Though it looked like a Porsche, RUF's status as a manufacturer made the original CTR Yellowbird a model in its own right. Capable of 213 miles per hour at Nardo (officially, unofficially it could go even faster), the Yellowbird was
an astonishing performer. This is not that car.

2017 AMELIA ISLAND PORSCHE AUCTION RESULTS |
Wow! What a weekend on Amelia Island. Between the PCA's Werkes Reunion, the Concours being moved up a day to Saturday and all the Porsches for sale at auction there was almost too much to do and see. Some of our favorite events were the auctions. It's always exciting to see how high the bidding will go (one
Porsche sold for $5.65MM) and it helps us to get a better handle on the market. So far, only 4 of the 5 auction houses (RM Sotheby's, Gooding, Bonhams and Motostalgia) have reported results. Between them, they had 73 Porsches on offer and sold 52 of them for a total of $20,760,550.
