For long endurance races like this one, Twitter can be an invaluable source of information. Not only can Twitter provide an up-to-the-minute view of what's happening in the race, it can connect you with intimate details and insight from the drivers and teams themselves.  In fact, we know of no other way to stay as closely and accurately informed about what's happening in the Porsche world before, during and after the race (even if you were at the event itself) than through the "Twittersphere". You just need to know who to follow.

One of the first videos we featured from JP&Co was their depreciation analysis of modern, normally aspirated 911s from 1999 to 2017. The charts, graphs and empirical data seemed to resonate with a number of you (closet number crunchers, maybe?). With that in mind, we were happy to see this most recent video that features similar depreciation analysis on the 911 Turbo market.

If you're anything like me, when you think of the "Hippie" Porsche you most likely think of Martini Racing's "Psychedelic" 917 LH. That famous purple, green and white livery was first presented to the pubic in 1970 at Le Mans where Gérard Larrousse and Willi Kauhsenthe piloted it to 2nd place overall. However, there was a 2nd "Hippie" Porsche.

  

When Porsche first introduced the new mid-engine 911 RSR they provided some basic technical details, but nothing too specific. Well, during the Roar Before the 24, The Racer Channel was given a tour of the car by Porsche factory driver Kevin Estre and we got to learn a whole lot more.

Joe Campbell had two toy cars growing up; a Ford GT40 and a Porsche 911. Seeing the two toy cars in his hand many years on, it's immediately clear that both have a lot of hard miles. The love affair didn't end when Joe stopped pushing his die-casts through the carpet as a child. When Joe finished medical school and his residency in the late 1980s, his first purchase "of any consequence" was a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa. 

The 2017 Porsche auction season kicked off this year in Scottsdale with mixed results. At the end of 2016 it seemed like the market for everything air-cooled was, at best, stalling. Then, everything changed with RM Sotheby's Duemila Ruote auction results. Did that momentum continue into 2017? There were quite a few nice sales, but also some unexpected no sales of some very rare and collectible cars.
