When people think of "winter" tires, they often equate them with "snow" tires and think, "I don't get a lot of snow where I live, so I don't need them." That couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is, as more and more of us are driving our Porsches year-round, the need for "winter" tires has grown.

STORED FOR 42-YEARS: 1958 356A SUPER SPEEDSTER GARAGE FIND |
The term "Barn Find" and "Garage Find" are quickly becoming over used as the cache they provide to an auction seems to have significant value. While this particular Porsche has been stored for 42-years, it most definitely wasn't lost or in need of being found. With that said, its story is still quite remarkable when you consider that the 356's second owner intentionally left the Porsche's paint in shabby condition to deter would be
thieves. He's now pulled the car from it's hiding place in his garage and consigned it to Gooding for their upcoming Scottsdale auction.

THE LAST TURN - TARGA TALES |
The subject of this photographic exercise is a 996 model shown to the press in 2001. Illustrating new-feature variations in a long-running model line like the 911 in an attractive and attention-grabbing way was always an interesting challenge, and, as always, some things just didn’t work out. This particular solution
needed some props...

5 TIPS FOR DRIVING YOUR PORSCHE IN WINTER CONDITIONS FROM WALTER RÖHRL |
In many parts of the world winter is upon us and for lots of our readers that means driving on snow and ice. For those of us that drive a Porsche year round, be it a Cayenne, Macan, 911, Panamera, Boxster, Cayman, 356 or anything else, there are a few simple guidelines we can follow to stay safer in the winter.
Recently, Porsche's Walter Röhrl sat down to talk through the techniques needed to safely handle our Porsches in snow and ice. While some may seem obvious, we suggest taking them to heart considering the source...

IS THIS WHAT A SUCCESSOR TO THE 919 HYBRID COULD LOOK LIKE? |
We see a lot of "concept" cars here at FLATSIXES.com. Some are more worthy than others. Recent "worthy" examples that come to mind include the 908-04, this 911 by way of Bugatti, the Cayvan and the 913. Today, a reader sent us another concept to explore.

ASSETTO CORSA IS THE PORSCHE RACING SIMULATOR YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! |
For as long as I can remember, Electronic Arts held an exclusive contract with Porsche to license their cars in video games ( Need for Speed, Real Racing, etc). Sure, you could drive a RUF in Gran Turismo or buy a sub-licensed Porsche pack in Forza, but those opportunities were few and far between. If you were a gamer and wanted a Porsche, EA was basically your only option. That all changed earlier this year when SpeedManiacs.com confirmed that after nearly 16-years, EA was finally losing their exclusive hold on all that is Porsche in the virtual racing world. Their successor, Assetto Corsa.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS 356 BODIED BOXSTER BUILT FOR JUSTIN BIEBER? |
West Coast Customs (WCC) is one of those shops that creates polarizing designs, people tend to love or hate them. Me, I'm borderline. Other than the RWB and Outlaw movements, I'm not into loud and brash when it comes to Porsche. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate the quality of work that comes out of the WCC shop. If
you've seen their TV show, or follow them on social media, you know they're no strangers to working on Porsches. From celebrities to athletes, West Coast Customs has put their stamp on almost every model in the line-up. Recently, however, we heard about a new build that got our attention.
