For those of you that live in warmer climates, or even on the other side of the world, you'll probably look at this post and laugh.  However, for those of you not quite brave enough to drive your Porsche through winter's harsh elements and choose to store your car for a few months of the year, this post is for you. Most of it's common sense, but a few of the tips might be new to you.

Project Boxster Clubsport: Part 17 - Installing a Momo Steering Wheel

We've been wrenching on "Project Boxster Clubsport" for quite a while now, and it just keeps getting better. We purchased the Porsche for a song, and have been slowly making some moves to drop the car's weight and add a little more fun. So far, we're really happy with what the Boxster has become, even though the motion of the project has been halted and restarted in new directions a couple of times now. It's an excellent Porsche, and we aim to make it just a little bit more excellent with each improvement. In this month's post we walk through the process of installing an aftermarket Momo steering wheel that you can duplicate on almost any model.

These Are Porsche's 2017 Factory Drivers

It's early December and that means it's time for Porsche's annual Night of Champions Dinner. An opportunity for drivers, team members and executives to celebrate their past success and announce plans for the upcoming motorsport season. One part of the announcements we always look forward to is the "official" naming of Porsche's factory drivers. Porsche had already announced a number of changes to their factory driver line-up including the retirement of Mark Webber, the removal of Marc Lieb and Romain Dumas from the LMP1 driver line-up and the promotion of Sven Müller from Porsche Junior to works driver. At this year's Night of Champions Dinner we learned the rest of their plans including the addition of three new factory drivers.

2016 RM Sotheby's Duemila Ruote Porsche Auction Results

Over Thanksgiving weekend, while those of us in the U.S. were busy shopping, watching football, eating leftovers and otherwise goofing off, the rest of the Porsche world had its collective eye on Duemila Ruote - the largest automotive themed private collection sale ever staged in Europe. There were more than 800 lots on offer without reserve. Of those 800 lots, 420 were cars and 72 of those were Porsches. Realized prices were quite spectacular.

Driving the 425 HP Ford V8 Swapped Cayman: Video

Ford and Porsche don't share much, if anything, in the engineering and design departments. However, what they do share is the iconic Gulf livery in the world of motorsport. The fact that this 2006 Porsche Cayman is wearing Gulf colors is no coincidence. Instead it hints at that old motorsport connection. Only this time, the connection is much more than skin deep. You see, this 2006 Porsche Cayman came from the factory with a 3.4L flat-six making 295 horsepower. Now, it makes 425 horsepower at the wheels from a Ford Racing "Aluminator" Coyote V8 Crate Motor.

Porsche Part of JV for Ultra-Fast, High Power Charging Network

Porsche wants to sell 20,000 Mission E cars in their first year of production. Part of the allure of the Mission E, besides its sleek design and Porsche badge, is its claimed ability to recharge 80% of its battery capacity in just 15 minutes. In order for that capability to be useful, drivers and owners need access to a network of charging stations. Well, Porsche plans to build one.

Parody Shootout of Porsche 918 vs. Ferrari Enzo Is Laugh Out Loud Funny

Tired of all the hyper produced, over scripted car shows that continue to compare Porsches against anything with a motor? Seems like the team at Car Bros on YouTube, are too. In their most recent video they "pit the high-tech Porsche 918 Spyder against the legendary Ferrari Enzo in a shootout for the ages" at least that's how they describe it. Instead, what they do is lampoon every car show and car review we've seen in the last five year. It's hilarious!
