N-Spec Approval. Understanding it When Choosing Tires
Choosing tires for your Porsche can be confusing, but it doesn't have to be. Porsche's proprietary testing process, known as N-Spec Approval ensures that the tire you purchase for your Porsche has passed a series of diverse and difficult tests designed by Porsche engineers to ensure maximum performance and safety under a wide range of driving conditions.  In this updated post we explain the testing required to achieve N-Spec approval, what to do when changing/replacing N-Spec approved tires and run down a list of some of the most popular tire models, and where to get them, that are N-Spec approved

Our Favorite Porsches on eBay: Volume 63
We've been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for almost two years now, and we've seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. In all that time, we've published these every other week. Well, enough of you have spoken up that we're going to try a weekly format, with two of us picking selections, so check back often. I'm fresh from a weekend at Laguna Seca for the Monterey Motorsport Pre-Reunion, so this week I've assembled five exciting racing Porsches for you to peruse, including an insane 996 RSR with GT2 motivation, a real-deal 993 Cup 3.8 liter,  a wild 930 racer, a vintage racing 911, and a 356 Speedster with vintage racing potential. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

Bringing a 1955 Continental Cabriolet Back-to-Life!

Bill and Kathleen Pierson certainly qualify as members in good standing of the German Car Club of Kansas. Bill has owned and loved several VW Beetles and is currently having a rare double-cab VW pickup customized. Kathleen only reluctantly let go of her BMW sedan a few years ago. The couple even own a Porsche tractor. But it’s a slightly sportier Porsche that is the pride of their German automotive experience, a rare 1955 Porsche Continental Cabriolet dressed out in Jade Green Metallic. This is their story.

If Porsche Built An All Electric Motorcycle, Is This What it Would Look Like?
Introducing "Project 618". Conceived by the mind of Industrial Design student Miguel Angel Bahri, Project 618 is meant to represent the spirit and character of Porsche with a futuristic-looking, pure electric, cruiser style motorcycle.  His presentation is quite detailed as is his rationale and reasoning for how and why he incorporated certain aspects of Porsche's design DNA from the 911 Turbo, 917, 918 and 919 Hybrid.  See it all here.
Finally! A Porsche Comparison That Makes Sense!
Finally! A comparison that actually seems to make sense.  The new 718 Boxster S and the Lotus Elise Cup 250 are pretty darn similar in weight, performance and price. So, how do they actually compare to each other from a driver's perspective? Let's find out

Porsche Stories From Around The Web
Despite our best efforts, it's not always possible for us to cover everything that's happening in the world of Porsche at any given time. It's almost as if the items worthy of note increase at some exponential rate as compared to the number of new Porsche owners and fans.  With that in mind, from time to time, we'll bring you a round-up of other Porsche related stories you might find of interest and link you to them.  If you read a story somewhere, or know of one you think might be of interest to our readers, please be sure to let us know by sending us a tip to storyideas@flatsixes.com
