FrankenPorsche: Part 993 - Part 356. We Love It!
Purists are sure to cringe at this creation, but we kind of like it.  Part 993, part 356 and part something else entirely, this Speedster is not what it appears to be.  One of our readers sent us the video you'll find in this post of his creation and we liked it enough to detail what he built.  Click here for complete build details, video and pictures.  If you think your Porsche should be featured on FLATSIXES.com let us know by sending a brief description and picture to features@flatsixes.com.

Our Favorite Porsches on eBay: Volume 60
We've been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for almost two years now, and we've seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. In all that time, we've published these every other week. Well, enough of you have spoken up that we're going to try a weekly format, with two of us picking selections, so check back often. This week, we've assembled five more Porsches for you to peruse. All of them ended up on our list thanks to their exterior colors. Four of them are rare or paint-to-sample examples and one simply struck us as a "Black Beauty". Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.
PCNA Posts First Month-Over-Month Sales Decline In Over A Year
Porsche sales in the U.S. have been on a steady climb for well over a year.  Porsche as a whole posted their best year ever in 2015 and despite declining results in the U.S. for July 2016 remain on track to equal or best last year's numbers. Check out this post to learn why sales were off this month in the U.S. and how each model sold as compared to the same period last year

Philadelphia Born and Raised: RWB's "Fresh"
Rauh-Welt has become an icon of the Porsche tuning community over the last decade. Originally based solely out of Japan, RWB has since expanded their efforts into a global movement spanning continents. Nakai-San's creations have come to life in the United States several times before, but never before in the owner's home garage. This vibrant green 993, known as "Fresh," is Philadelphia's first RWB. Krispy Media chronicled the car's build in stunning 4k, watch it here.

Watch Factory Driver Timo Bernhard Set a New Hill-Climb Record in a GT3 Cup. You Have to See This Video!
Last weekend, during the Glasbach Rennen round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship, the Le Mans winning driver set a new course record for GT and Touring vehicles while driving a standard 991 GT3 Cup car. This video is amazing from start to finish, showing off the 35 year old's amazing talent and quick reflexes. It's obvious he knows the course well, but the ability to react to what the car is doing at a moment's notice is astonishing. Watch and listen here

How To Configure "Individual Mode" In The New Sport Chrono Package
In an earlier post, we talked about the new mode selection knob that comes on your Porsche's steering wheel if you order a new 991.2 Carrera with Sport Chrono package. Where the other modes are relatively simple to explain, and set in their ways, Individual mode is more complex in that it conforms to your personal ideals and driving styles. When we had the opportunity to try it out for ourselves, we were initially baffled on how to get to the setting menu, so we asked some folks from Porsche. They taught us how, so we can teach you how. In the end, it's worth getting it right, because you can set this mode any way you want, and it'll do just what you please. There are a few steps involved in setting it up, but once complete, you can switch to Individual mode for a driving experience as unique as you are.

Across North America in 8 Days in 3 Porsches
We've all talked about it. The coast to coast run is on nearly every enthusiast's bucket list. Whether inspired by Cannonball Run, or just a desire to see the country this is one of the ultimate journeys. These eight Canadians picked up three 1970s-1980s 911s from The Stable in San Francisco, and drove them to Kitchner, Ontario (more than 3/4s of the way across the States). These intrepid souls did very little preparation of their new Porsches, and instead opted to handle challenges as they came and boy did they come.  Watch and learn more about their adventure in this post

Porsche Stories From Around The Web
Despite our best efforts, it's not always possible for us to cover everything that's happening in the world of Porsche at any given time. It's almost as if the items worthy of note increase at some exponential rate as compared to the number of new Porsche owners and fans.  With that in mind here's a round-up of other Porsche related stories you might find of interest.  If you read a story somewhere, or know of one you think might be of interest to our readers, please be sure to let us know by sending a tip to storyideas@flatsixes.com
