Our Favorite Porsches on eBay: Volume 42
We've been compiling the best Porsche models on eBay for about a year and a half now, and we've seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. There is some great new stuff every two weeks, so check back often. We've tracked down five more exciting Porsches for you nice people to purchase today, including a few interestingly modified hot rods and show cars, and one factory-built speed machine in a rare flashy color. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.
2016 Porsche Paris Auction Results
The 2nd big auction of the season is in the books with drastically different results than those we saw in Scottsdale.  Is it the "bubble" ready to burst or is it more a reflection of the quality of the offerings?  We need to wait and see what happens on Amelia Island before we decide for sure. For now, here's a complete run down on what each Porsche sold for (or in some cases didn't sell for) during the Paris auctions
Enter To Win A Chance At Having Patrick Long As Your Driving Instructor In A "To Be Released" Porsche Model
Last week, Porsche announced a chance for one lucky fan to driving "an upcoming Porsche model before everyone else can". Given the timing of the announcement, and what the contest consists of (two days of driving lessons from Patrick Long), we can't help but speculate that it's the 911 R Porsche is referencing. Here's how to enter along with what you could win. Better hurry, the entry deadline is today!

This Illustrated Animation Of The Porsche 911 Design Evolution Is Brilliantly Done
50 plus years later and the original design DNA of the 1964 Porsche 911 is still apparent in today's technological marvels. Innovation and technical improvements have come leaps and bounds from the beginning, but the overall design has been a slow and steady evolution. I, for one, love these type of design animations. I'm sure you all remember the "Evolution Of The Porsche Front End" we shared with you around this time last year. Now, today, we have the video in this post that provides an illustrated side profile along with some of the basic differences, improvements and price changes that happened with each successive model. One of the details of this video I really love is the pieced together soundtrack running in the background. It fits just perfect. Enjoy!

911 GT3 R Is Broodingly Menacing In Carbon Fiber
The new 911 GT3 R saw its track debut at Daytona this year. Next stop, Sebring, the same place these pictures were taken last summer when Porsche descended on the central Florida raceway for a 30-hour endurance test. I just love how the photographer, Victor Jon Goico, captured the brooding, menacing attitude of the carbon fiber clad car. Check out all 9 pictures in this post.  We linked to high res versions so you can make one your new wallpaper should you choose.
Porsche Stories From Around The Web
Despite our best efforts, it's not always possible for us to cover everything that's happening in the world of Porsche at any given time. It's almost as if the items worthy of note increase at some exponential rate as compared to the number of new Porsche owners and fans.  With that in mind, from time to time, we'll bring you a round-up other Porsche related stories you might find of interest and link you to them.  If you read a story somewhere, or know of one you think might be of interest to our readers, please be sure to let us know by sending us a tip to storyideas@flatsixes.com
