2016 Porsche Cayman GT4: Wet & Wild Track Review
There was a tipping point on the horizon. I was about to reach go from the moment I had never driven a Cayman GT4 to the time I had.  More importantly, that tipping point would be reached on the track at Road Atlanta and in conjunction with driving the new GT3 RS.  Talk about a dream come true!  What was the GT4 like on track?  Read the full story and find out.
Picture Gallery Of All The Porsches At SEMA
Didn't make it to SEMA this year? Don't worry we have you covered.  Our own plans of getting to SEMA were foiled by a faulty idler pulley.  However, a close friend of the site, Jason Conner, was kind enough to document the Porsche's present at this year's event and we have them all, along with descriptions, in this gallery.
Small Changes Unleash The True Potential Of This 930 Turbo
Why We Didn't Make It To SEMA
That's an idler pulley from our Project Boxster Clubsport.  That, that right there is why we didn't make it to SEMA this year.  Here's the story of how we got stranded in the middle of the desert, managed to find parts 100s of miles from anywere, swapped it out and got back on the road.
XCar Talks To Magnus Walker About His Porsches, His Way
This brief discussion with Magnus is actually pretty enlightening. Did you know, for example, that his design ideals are heavily influenced by Captain America, Evel Knievel, and 1950s SoCal Hot Rod culture? I mean, I guess you could have inferred that, but it's interesting to hear it come from the mouth of the man himself. You'll also find out through this film who it was that convinced Magnus to be in the new Need for Speed game himself. He was considering turning down the request until this guy showed up at his shop.

The Last Turn - In The Tracks Of Giants
As we publish more and more images from the archive of well known Porsche photographer Leonard Turner, I find myself amazed not only by his images but with the accompanying story he pens for each shot.  I joked with Leonard just yesterday that I, at times, have trouble remembering what I had for lunch that day. Leonard on the other hand, recalls with clarity even the most minute detail from each shot he sends our way. That's what makes each image so special. Take this week's contribution for example.  In it, Leonard and friend find themselves tracing the route of the famed Targa Floria during the press launch of the 2009 Boxster S.  By ignoring the directions given to them by Porsche they quickly find themselves in a tight situation. Read on and see for yourself.  And, if you haven't already done so, check out some of Leonard's past posts, too. They are definitely worth a look and a read.

Reader Submitted Pictures
This week's photo comes via reader JP in France. Pictured above is a backdated, Viper green 911 built on a 1982 SC chassis.  JP tells us his Porsche is fitted with a carburated 3.0 liter engine featuring cams out of a Carrera S and Wossner pistons.  He captured this picture while out driving in Brittany, France.  JP sent us numerous other pictures of another of his Porsches.  Expect to see that one in the near future, too.

We want to thank everyone that has sent in pictures so far and we'll do our best to get them all published in time.   If you have a favorite Porsche picture (or video) you would like to share with other FLATSIXES.com readers simply email it to pictureoftheweek@flatsixes.com.

Porsche's New PSA on Texting While Driving Is Brilliant
By now, we all know the dangers of texting while driving, but it still doesn't hurt to be reminded every now and again. I'm sure most of you have seen one type of Public Safety Announcement (PSA) or another regarding the dangers of texting while driving, but this new one from Porsche is just spot on. If one of the world's best race car drivers can't manage it, chances are you can't either. Watch and you'll see what I mean.
Dubai Adds Porsche 918 To Their Already Impressive Supercar Fleet
Dubai's police fleet of exotic supercars is known worldwide. However, it wasn't until this past April that they added their first two Porsches (a pair of Panamera Turbos). Last week, on Twitter, the Dubai Police tweeted this picture of a 918 Spyder wearing the now familiar green and white Dubai Police livery. Here are a few more shots and what we know about their latest acquisition
Thief Caught On Camera Cutting Hole In Cabriolet In Attempt To Steal Porsche
This 911 Turbo S Cabriolet Is One Badass Camera Car
This isn't the first Porsche we've seen as a camera car, but it's most definitely the fastest.  The Cayenne has been the go to platform for many a commercial for some time.  Then, a couple of years ago, we saw Chase Cars In. turn the hatch of a Panamera into a tailgunner's seat to operate the big arm and camera on their go fast camera.  This week, we came across the camera car you see above.  Not only is it the fastest camera car we know of, wait until you see the commercial they just shot with it.
