How Much Will Caitlyn Jenner's Former Porsche Sell For?
We've talked a lot about celebrity provenance before in past posts. Does it add value to a Porsche? The answer it seems, is it depends. When Jerry Mathews (the "Beaver") sold his 911, or the 924 owned by the late Eric Carr (otherwise known as the "fox", the drummer of KISS fame) went for sale, the celebrity connection didn't seem to matter. However, when a 993 Turbo S previously owned by Jerry Seinfeld sold, the celebrity provenance definitely brought a premium. So what will happen in this case where a Porsche owned by Caitlyn Jenner (back when she was still known as Bruce) is now for sale on eBay?
Not All Wheels Are Created Equal. Here's Why...
Have you ever wondered how the wheels on your Porsche impact the cars overall performance? What's unsprung mass? Why should it be as light as possible? What's rotational inertia? What's the difference between a forged wheel, a cast wheel and a cast-flow form wheel? All those questions, and many more, are answered in this episode of /ENGINEERED featuring Alan Peltier of HRE Performance Wheels from our friends at /DRIVE.

Porsche Cayenne Diesel Implicated In VW's Emission Cheating Scandal
When news first broke of the VW emission cheating scandal it appeared as if Porsche would survive relatively unscathed. However, a new report released Monday by the EPA now firmly implicates VW's 3.0 liter TDI engine, the same engine found in 2015 Porsche Cayenne Diesel models.  Here's what we know so far
Watch And Listen To Porsche Sound Nacht 2015
Last weekend, on October 24th, Porsche held their fifth annual "Sound Nacht". During this yearly special event, former and active Porsche racers, along with engineers from Weissach, present various racing and production cars from the Museum's collection. Along with stories and history on each Porsche presented, the main attraction is the actual start-up of the engine and subsequent music made by the exhaust note.  Each year this special event is sold out way in advance and we hope to get to visit it in the near future.  While I'm sure Porsche will be releasing their own slick video of the event in the near future, here's a taste of each Porsche as it was presented.

The Last Turn - A Spyder Of A Different Color
If someone ever asked you to quickly envision Porsche's LMP2 RS Spyder of the last decade there's a better than average chance that Penske's yellow liveried cars would come to mind.  But, as Leonard Turner explains in this week's edition of The Last Turn, not all of the RS Spyder's successes came in a yellow wrapper.  Some were much more colorful!

Reader Submitted Pictures
We thought we would shake things up a bit this week.  It's been glamour shot after glamour shot for as far back as we can remember. That's why when reader Mark Shimonkevitz sent us this picture of his 2008 Cayenne on a camping trip we just knew we would have to use it.  Mark told us he's been taking a camping trip with friends since just before he was married.  He just celebrated his 25th anniversary so this makes for the 26th trip.  After snapping this photo, Mark emailed it to his son with the title, "When the creek is too deep for your 911". Mark's other Porsche is a 996 Carrera.  We're glad he took the Cayenne.

We want to thank everyone that has sent in pictures so far and we'll do our best to get them all published in time.   If you have a favorite Porsche picture (or video) you would like to share with other FLATSIXES.com readers simply email it to pictureoftheweek@flatsixes.com.

Porsche Issues Voluntary Recall For Nearly 60,000 Macans Globally
This isn't the first recall for the Porsche Macan, but it is far and away the largest.  58,881 Macan S and Macan Turbos are being recalled globally due to the possibility of a leak in the low-pressure fuel line.  Details in this post.

Video, pictures, details and pricing in this post.

Where Were These Kind Of Toys When We Were Kids?
Fisher Price says their new Power Wheels Porsche GT3 is for kids ages 3 to 7 years.  However, with a max weight limit of 130 lbs, I can almost guarantee you'll see some youtube videos, in the near future, of many adult Porsche fans making like "Grape Ape" and trying to ride one of these.  I feel like I already need to start apologizing to my sister-in-law as I plan on getting one of these for my nephews and I'm not sure if they'll be fighting more with each other to drive it, or with their uncle to get off of it.  Details on this off-the-hook toy, including price and where to buy, in this post.
