Porsche 993 vs. 997 GT3 On The Nürburgring
I'm sure you've heard the term there's "no replacement for displacement". And while it might hold true for getting the last drops of horsepower out of an engine, it's not necessarily the case when it comes to lap times. Watch as a Porsche 993 takes a 997 GT3 to task along the Nordschleife.

Reader Submitted Pictures - Have You Seen This Color?
This week's reader submitted photo is up for display in an effort to solicit information.   Reader Paul Krijnen of Mombasa, Kenya sumbited this picture of his uniquely colored Porsche 996. Paula says the 911 was delivered by Porsche wearing its Phoenix Yellow Metallic Paint and that to his knowledge it's the only example in this color.  We've seen this color before on BMWs, but never on Porsches.  What about you?  Have you seen another 996 in this color?  What about any other Porsche? We want to hear from you. Please email us with any information you might have at pictureoftheweek@flatsixes.com.

We want to thank everyone that has sent in pictures so far and we'll do our best to get them all published in time.   If you have a favorite Porsche picture (or video) you would like to share with other FLATSIXES.com readers simply email it to pictureoftheweek@flatsixes.com.
Patrick Long Demonstrates How Technique Is More Important Than Horsepower
Last week's Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion was filled with memorable moments and this race featuring Patrick Long in a 1975 Porsche 3.0 Carrera RSR was one of the better ones.  Pitted against other Porsches and race cars with nearly double the horsepower, Patrick gives a lesson in how technique can overcome even a huge horsepower advantage. Watch and enjoy.

Is The Cayman GT4 A 911 Beater?
The Cayman GT4 takes its motor from the 911 Carrera S.  Even detuned a bit as it is, it's still a bit faster than the 911 off the line.  So, does that make the GT4 better than the 911? Motor Trend's newest "ignition" host, Jason Cammisa, tackles this question, along with a number of "conspiracy theories" that may or may not have some truth to to them, in this video.
Is There A Secret Warehouse That Stores Porsche Cutaway Cars?
There’s really no substitute for seeing what is going on inside, as any radiologist will tell you. The guy who really gets the best view, though, is the surgeon, looking straight into the matter at hand rather than reading shadows, and it is this view that is favored by Porsche when demonstrating the workings of their products like in the cutaway Boxster seen here from its press launch in 1999. Read more about Porsche's cutaway's in this installment of "The Last Turn" from contributor Leonard Turner.
Magnus Walker & #277 Involved In Accident
Everyone's favorite "Outlaw" was involved in a fender bender yesterday while visiting Porsche of Minneapolis for their Grand Opening.  Here's what we know so far.
