By now, most of you know that Porsche unveiled the newest Boxster Spyder at the NYIAS last week.  That makes this week's "The Last Turn" that much more timely.  How many of you are familiar with the Boxster prototype that started it all?  That's it above as seen during its intro at the Detroit Auto Show in January of 1993.  Leonard Turner explains what was happening in the world of Porsche just prior to the introduction of the Boxster and how it was connected to the legendary "Spyder" of Porsche history.  In addition he wants to know if the prototype he photographed in '93 was to be offered as a Boxster model today, would you buy one?

Almost every new Porsche model in recent history has leaked in one way, shape or form prior to Porsche's official reveal.  And yes, there have been rumors of the Boxster Spyder floating around, but nothing concrete.  No leaked pictures, no credible spy shots, not even a news outlet hitting publish an hour too soon.  Porsche did an excellent job keeping the launch of the new Boxster Spyder under wraps right up until its debut.  More and more info is becoming available about the "purist" Porsche to hit the streets since the last Spyder and we have it all including pictures, pricing, video and specs in this post.

Porsche Jumping Back Into The Tractor Market, Introduces New "Rasentraktoren" Model

Coming right on the heals of the premier of the Boxster Spyder, Porsche announced they are entering an old space in a new way.  For a number of years Porsche produced a handful of tractors aimed at the agricultural and farming market.  Now, in an effort to facilitate even faster sales growth and introduce the brand to a new market, Porsche is partnerering with Home Depot to sell their newest model.  Details in this post.

The description of this video calls what you're about to see a "world-record".  While we can't vouch for the accuracy of that, we can say this is one of the fastest Porsche 911s we've ever seen. Just watch how fast this tuned 997 Turbo chews through 150 MPH on its way to a top speed of nearly 220 MPH.  Oh yeah, it does it from a standing start, too.
