Project Boxster Clubsport- Part 4: How To Polish Your Porsche's Headlights
The plastic headlamp covers on a lot of older Porsches tend to oxidize.  When this happens, not only does it reduce your visibility, but it looks horrible, too. Our Project Boxster Clubsport is a perfect example of what can happen to these light covers over time.  Rather than replacing them, we decided to polish them ourselves.  This is a simple and inexpensive project that anyone can do.  Here are the tools you'll need and instructions on how to do it.
You'll Want This Porsche Playmobil Toy Even If You Don't Have Kids
While this newly released Porsche 911 Carrera S from German toymaker Playmobil might be meant for kids, we think you just might want to add one to your collection after learning all that's included in their newest set.  Details in this post.
The Last Turn
Sometimes, opportunity just presents itself.  One of the difference between a good photographer and a great photographer is recognizing that opportunity.  Leonard Turner did just that during his trip to Weissach for the original press introduction of the Cayenne Turbo.  Read his explanation of how this picture came to be made in his latest version of "The Last Turn".
The NFL Tells Adidas Not To Give Away Ugly Cheetah Porsches At Combine
Last week we told you how Adidas planned to give away these ugly Porsches to the top 3 fastest sprinters at the NFL combine.  Fortunately, for everyone involved, the NFL stepped in and said no!  While we were hoping it was for aesthetic reasons, the real reason turned out to be even more self-serving than that.
Did This Stock Porsche Panamera Just Break The Ice Speed Record On Russia's Lake Baikal
Lake Baikal is the world's oldest and deepest freshwater lake and it's located in the Siberian region of Russia.  Maybe because it's Siberia and there's not much else to do, or maybe just "because Russia", people are always playing on the lake's ice in ways Mother Nature never intended.  One of those ways is trying to set the fastest ice speed record for a production car. With the current record set close to 295 kp/h by a Nissan GT-R, Mobil 1 made an attempt at breaking the record last week in a stock Porsche Panamera Turbo.  Here's how they did.

Porsche Cartoon
If you enjoy these Porsche cartoons (or any of our other posts for that matter) we would love it if you would take a minute to share them with other like minded individuals.  For instance, to see the rest of this cartoon, simply click on the image above.  If you like it, you can share it by selecting any of the social network buttons you find on the top and bottom of the post.
The Evolution Of The Porsche Front-End
There are many elements considered iconic about the design of the Porsche 911. However, I'm not sure the front-end is one of the them.  Other manufacturers, take BMW for example, are much more well known for their grilles, while Porsches are better know for their side profiles and evolutionary like rear-ends. Regardless, artist Jerome Daksiewicz was able to create 28 front-end line-art drawings depicting everything from the 356 to the 918 Spyder, with every major 911 iteration in between. Considering that the funding for his Kickstarter art project has jumped from just $1500 to more than $20,000 since we first wrote about it, he must be on to something. If you want to learn more about his current project, or buy a print for yourself, you can find all the details you'll need in this post.
Porsche Classic Wants To Put Navigation And Hands Free Phone Calls Into Your Older Porsche
Personally, I don't like mounting my phone or other navigation device to my windshield or dashboard in either of our classic Porsches.  I don't like how it cuts into my view and I don't like the little marks the mount leaves behind.  Today, Porsche Classic announced a new navigation module (including radio, Bluetooth Smart Phone connectivity, speaker phone and more) that fits into the factory DIN mount of most classic Porsches and looks like it came right from the factory, all those years ago.  More info is available in this post

WARNING: Purchasing and collecting die-cast Porsches is extremely addicting.  There's no 12-step program to help you fight it. Read the following post at your own risk.
Are These Leaked Documents The Real Thing? If So, They Show The Specs For The Upcoming 911 GT3 RS!
We get lots of "tips" in our inbox almost every day.  Some of them we can act on, some we can't.  While we're not hard hitting investigative journalists, we do like to try and verify something before publishing it as fact.  In the case of these "leaked" documents, about the new new 911 GT3 RS, we had no way to get the verification.  Porsche is the only one who could say, "Yes, these are the specs" and they're not about to do that no matter how nicely we ask.  So, why did we publish them now? Simple, everyone else has been publishing them as fact for the last 2 or 3 days. We figured we would put them out, let you know we can't verify them, and you can decide if they're true or not.  All the details are in this post
